An experienced sustainable retail expert from Bee Retail and LEED Green Associate, Maxime Pruvost, came in to our studio yesterday to share his experience in developing one stop solutions for green and responsible retail spaces for key retail operators and real estate developers.
As the founder and general manager of Bee Retail, Maxime holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Engineering Master’s degree specialisation in sustainable construction from Arts et Metiers in Paris. With extensive experience as a project director on prestigious shopping center developments in Asia, Maxime developed diverse concepts on creating sustainable built environments, ranging across a mix of industries including hospitality, retail, commercial, educational, residential, industrial, healthcare, eco-city and social sustainability.
Sustainability has taken on increased importance internationally in recent years. Green retail buildings and retail development are continuing to emerge and grow. From retail brands such as Chanel and Gucci to food and beverage brand such as Starbucks, Maxime addressed the upward trend of global retailers and developers’ objective to create sustainability for their distinctive brands. A discussion on the strategies and case studies of successful sustainable retail developments followed, highlighting the vital role energy requirement, water usage, landfill waste, electricity consumption and use of raw materials play in sustainability.
Through collaboration with partners like Bee Retail, we continue to incorporate green, open spaces into our designs, promoting healthier lifestyles, better spaces and a greener environment for everyone.
