Lead8 welcomed students from Kellett School in Hong Kong for its annual work experience programme this summer.
The group of high school students spent the week in Lead8’s Hong Kong studio, getting unique hands-on experience across a wide range of design disciplines from Interior Design to Masterplanning, Architecture, Graphic Design and Creative Communication.
“We always look forward to hosting the work experience programme. Working side-by-side with the design teams on live projects gives these high school students an understanding of how a busy and multi-faceted design studio operates. Both our team and the students get a lot out of the experience,” said David Buffonge, Co Founder & Executive Director.
Lead8’s senior design team led the sessions, sharing their expertise and mentoring the students across a variety of design skills. Students were given access to real projects and the opportunity to develop their own skillsets from concept design and sketching to model making and presentation. The sessions also included introductions to 3D modelling software, SketchUp and an insight into new technologies.
“We are thrilled that we can provide this real-life learning experience. It is an invaluable insight for the younger generation who are navigating their interests in future professions,” said Christine Hau, Co Founder & Executive Director.
Lead8 welcomes Grade 10 students from Kellett School in Hong Kong each year to participate in the week-long work experience programme. For more information, please contact Raymond Lo (firstname.lastname@example.org), Talent Development Director at Lead8.
